Artur Avetisyan wins gold at the 2026 World Challenge Cup stage in Varna

Armenian gymnast Artur Avetisyan has won the 2026 World Challenge Cup stage in artistic gymnastics, held in the Bulgarian city of Varna.
Avetisyan claimed the gold medal in the still rings event. In the final, the Armenian national team representative scored 14.233 points and took first place, finishing ahead of competitors from Germany and Uzbekistan.
Second place went to another gymnast of Armenian origin — Artur Sahakyan, who represents Germany. He scored 13.566 points. Third place was taken by a representative of Uzbekistan.
For Avetisyan, this victory continued what has already been a successful season. Earlier, the Armenian gymnast became the overall winner of the 2026 World Cup in the still rings event after earning the necessary ranking points across the series of stages. During the World Cup campaign, he won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
Avetisyan has once again confirmed his status as one of the world’s strongest specialists on still rings and brought another international medal to the Armenian national team.
