Armenian MMA fighter Artur Arutyunyan (5-1) secured an early victory at UNF 27, which took place on August 31 in Lancaster, California.
In the first round of his fight against Carlos Puente Jr., Arutyunyan won via submission choke.
This marks his fourth win in the bantamweight division at UNF (Up Next Fighting) events.

In addition, UNF 27 also featured amateur MMA bouts. Armenian fighter Hakop Dulbetsyan defeated compatriot Krikor Balkyan to claim the UNF Rising Star welterweight championship belt among amateurs. Another Armenian amateur, Erik Raisyan, also secured victory by defeating Marcus Aquino.
