25-year-old Armenian boxer Artyom Oganesyan (13-1) will make his long-awaited return on May 2 in Brest, Belarus, during the IBA PRO 5 boxing night. His opponent will be Belarusian Alexander Radionov, who will be making his professional debut. The fight will be held in the under-71 kg weight category.
The bout will be broadcast live on Match TV, starting at 8:00 PM Moscow time.
Oganesyan has not stepped into the ring since June 2022, when he suffered the only loss of his career, losing on points to Mexican Dante Jardon in Montreal. Before that, Artyom had a flawless record: 13 consecutive wins, 11 of them by knockout. Most of his fights took place in Canada under the Eye of The Tiger promotion.
Alexander Radionov will be fighting at the professional level for the first time, but he has a solid background in amateur boxing. He represented Belarus at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and is considered one of the most promising boxers in his country.
