The 26-year-old Armenian forward Artyom Manukyan found the net in the Kontinental Hockey League for the first time after a long break. His previous KHL goal was scored more than three years ago, on October 26, 2021.
Manukyan opened his goal tally for the current season during a KHL regular-season match between Salavat Yulaev and Lada on February 25. However, his goal did not help the Tolyatti club secure a victory, as Salavat Yulaev won 3-2.
This season, Manukyan has played nine games for Lada, recording one goal and one assist.
Not long ago, Manukyan played in the Armenian championship for the Yerevan-based club Perci, but this winter, he returned to Russian hockey by signing with Lada after competing in the VHL with CSK VVS.
At the moment, Lada sits in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and continues its fight for a playoff spot.
