Armenian Forward Edgar Varagyan Joins Krasnoyarsk’s Sokol

22-year-old Armenian forward Edgar Varagyan has signed a contract with the ice hockey club Sokol from Krasnoyarsk. The agreement is valid for one season.
Varagyan is a graduate of the Magnitogorsk hockey school. He played 176 games in the MHL for the junior team Stalnye Lisy, recording 106 (56+50) points. In the Supreme Hockey League (VHL), Varagyan played for Yuzhny Ural and Magnitka, appearing in 45 games and earning 5 (3+2) points.
HC Sokol represents Krasnoyarsk in the VHL — the second-tier division of Russian hockey.
