Armenian Judoka David Aghasyan Wins Silver at V.S. Oshchepkov Memorial Tournament

The first competition day of the international judo tournament in memory of V.S. Oshchepkov, held as part of the "Russian Judo Tour" series, has concluded in Khabarovsk. The tournament began on May 24, 2025, and the winners in several weight categories have already been determined on the first day.

One of the highlights was the contest in the men’s under 66 kg weight class, where Armenian athlete David Agasyan confidently reached the final and secured a silver medal. In the final match, he was defeated by Mongolia’s Ulziibayar Byambasuren. The bronze medals in this weight category went to Mikhail Mamaev (Russia) and Zhantsandorj Unurbat (Mongolia).
