Armenian athletes to compete in the European Youth shooting championship

From February 9 to 15, the capital of Estonia, Tallinn, will host the first-ever European Shooting Championship for athletes under 16 and under 18 (U16 and U18). Around 240 shooters from various European countries will take part in the competition. This event will open unique opportunities for young athletes, giving them a chance not only to showcase their skills but also to prepare for the U21 European Championship later this year.

Armenia will be represented at this prestigious competition by five talented athletes who are part of the national youth shooting team. They will compete in the 10-meter air weapon shooting discipline:

  • Grigor Poghosyan (personal coach: Lion Khachatryan)
    10m, air pistol
  • Goar Manukyan (personal coach: Nora Nikoghosyan)
    10m, air pistol
  • Armine Gevorgyan (personal coach: Armen Simonyan)
    10m, air pistol
  • Hayk Margaryan (personal coach: Yurik Chikhchyan)
    10m, air pistol
  • David Khachatryan (personal coach: Artur Ayvazyan)
    10m, air rifle

The team will compete under the leadership of the Secretary General of the Armenian Shooting Federation, Areg Saribekyan, and the head coach of the national team, Andranik Ayvazyan.
