Armenian Athletes Commemorate Genocide Victims at Tsitsernakaberd

On April 24, the day marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, prominent Armenian athletes — MMA fighters Arman Tsarukyan, Eduard Vartanyan, Armen Gulyan, freestyle wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan, and crossfit coach Artur Nzhde — visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan to pay tribute to the memory of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the 1915 tragedy.
UFC lightweight top contender Arman Tsarukyan came to Yerevan from the United States specifically to be in his homeland on this significant day. He was joined by Armen Gulyan and Eduard Vartanyan, who arrived from Moscow. In Armenia, European wrestling champion Arsen Harutyunyan and coach Artur Nzhde joined the delegation.
Together, they laid flowers at the eternal flame and observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims.
