The Summer Universiade 2025 continues in Berlin, and Armenian athletes are making a strong impression. In the pommel horse qualification, three Armenian representatives claimed the top three spots. Mamikon Khachatryan delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 14.966 points, impressing both with the difficulty (5.700) and flawless execution (9.266). This is the best result of the qualification round, and many are calling his routine “out of this world.”

Hamlet Manukyan finished second with 14.766 points, while Gagik Khachikyan took third with 14.700. However, due to competition rules allowing only two athletes per country in the final, Khachikyan will not advance.

Thus, Mamikon Khachatryan and Hamlet Manukyan will represent Armenia in the final. The final will be held on July 26 and could bring Armenia its first medal at this Universiade, as the country is still without a medal.

Armenian athletes also remain in contention for medals in judo competitions.

The Summer Universiade is taking place in Berlin from July 16 to 27. We continue to follow Team Armenia with hope for success in the finals.
