Armenian Real Madrid Fans Supported the Team in Almaty and Sang “Getashen”

On September 30, a UEFA Champions League match between Real Madrid and local side Kairat took place in Almaty. The game drew huge interest from fans — tickets sold out instantly, with prices soaring to record highs. According to witnesses, some supporters even traded their cars for a ticket to the stadium.

However, it wasn’t only Kazakh residents who managed to attend the match. On the away stand, Real Madrid was supported by Armenian fans — members of the Yerevan fan club. They arrived in Almaty as an organized group and had the chance to see their favorite team play live, for many of them the first such experience.

After the final whistle confirmed a confident 5–0 victory for Madrid, the Armenian fans sang the song “Getashen” at the stadium, creating a special festive atmosphere.
