From January 11 to 12, the 47th international judo tournament Matsuru Dutch Open Espoir 2025 was held in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Athletes from 17 countries participated in the competition, demonstrating a high level of skill and intense competition for the podium places.
Particular attention was drawn to judo athletes of Armenian origin representing various European countries. They achieved impressive results and won medals in their respective weight categories.
— Narek Vardanyan (Sweden) became the champion in the under 73 kg category among U21 athletes, winning the gold medal.
— Sargis Hamtrashyan (Belgium) took second place in the under 66 kg category among U21 athletes, earning the silver medal.
— Misha Kurginyan (Netherlands) won the bronze medal in the under 66 kg category among U18 athletes.
