At the European Schoolgirls Championships held in Zlatibor from July 21 to 27, the Armenian national team won 7 medals. The Armenian athletes claimed 4 silver and 3 bronze medals in the overall standings.
Karine Dallakyan (51 kg) secured two victories, reached the final, and won silver.
Eva Grigoryan (46 kg) started from the semifinals, won one bout, then lost in the final — earning a silver medal.
They were the only medalists out of the seven Armenian athletes who managed to win their bouts.
The other medalists stepped onto the podium without a single win:
Elen Baghdasaryan (36 kg) and Amalya Avagyan (64 kg) started directly from the final and both became silver medalists.
Vanessa Gevorgyan (40 kg), Liza Karchikyan (54 kg), and Lucy Chiflikyan (57 kg) — bronze medalists without victories.
On July 27, six Armenian boys will also compete in the finals.
