Armenia to compete with full teams at the U15 European Wrestling Championships

The U15 European Wrestling Championships will take place from May 20 to 24 in Samokov, Bulgaria. Armenia will be represented by full teams in both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
For the young Armenian wrestlers, this tournament will be one of the key events of the season and an important opportunity to test themselves on the international stage. The U15 European Championships traditionally bring together some of the strongest young athletes on the continent and serve as an important step in the development of future national team wrestlers.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, Armenia will be represented by ten athletes across all weight categories. The squad includes Gor Karapetyan, Sevak Manukyan, Pasha Khudoyan, Mihran Tatoyan, Vardan Sahakyan, Arayik Khemchyan, Alex Gevorgyan, Pavel Nazaryan, Arman Ginosyan and Arman Tovmasyan.
Armenia will also field a full team in freestyle wrestling. Norayr Gevorgyan, Tigran Aghajanyan, Alex Ghazaryan, Roman Hovhannisyan, Narek Dallakyan, Atom Yesayan, Mher Papikyan, Shahen Martirosyan, Davit Vardanyan and Armen Movsesyan will compete in Samokov.
Participation with full teams highlights Armenia’s serious approach to youth wrestling competitions. The tournament in Samokov will be an important test for athletes who may join Armenia’s junior and senior national teams in the coming years.
