The Armenia national futsal team finished the group stage of the 2026 European Championship with a 3–3 draw against Lithuania, securing first place in Group B.
The third-round match had no tournament significance for Ruben Nazaretyan’s side, as Armenia had already clinched top spot in the group thanks to wins over Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, the game turned out to be entertaining and tense until the final seconds.
Lithuania showed strong character by coming back from a two-goal deficit during the match. Playing at home with active crowd support, they pushed forward relentlessly and managed to earn a draw, leaving a positive impression despite being eliminated from the tournament.
Armenia completed the group stage unbeaten and confidently advanced to the quarterfinals from first place. This is the team’s debut appearance at the European Championship, and reaching the playoffs right away is a historic achievement.
