Armenia U15 Beat Moldova on Penalties and Move Top of the UEFA Development Tournament

Armenia’s U15 national team claimed their first win at the UEFA Development Tournament, which is being held in Yerevan. In their second match, Narek Davtyan’s side faced Moldova U15 and came out stronger in the penalty shootout.
Regular time ended goalless — 0-0. The winner was decided in the post-match penalty shootout, where the young Armenian players converted their attempts more confidently and won 4-2.
After two rounds, Armenia U15 have collected three points and moved to the top of the tournament table. In their opening match, Armenia drew 1-1 with Uzbekistan but lost in the penalty shootout. In the second game, the Armenian team again finished regular time with a draw, but this time managed to earn the extra point thanks to the win over Moldova.
The match took place on May 10 in Yerevan at the FFA Technical Center/Football Academy. Vardan Vardumyan was the main referee of the match.
Armenia U15 started the game with Christopher Hayrapetyan, Ashot Mirabyan, Vache Barseghyan, Hayk Adamyan, Narek Avetisyan, Marat Yeganyan, Harutyun Baghdasaryan, Narek Tatosyan, Artem Tatulyan, Arame Minasyan and Teo Vardanyan.
Armenia now have one final match left in the tournament — against Georgia on May 12. That game will be decisive for Narek Davtyan’s team in the fight for first place.
