Armenia Among World Champions — All Gold Medals Won by Armenian Athletes in 2025

Following the results of 2025, the Armenian national team achieved strong performances at World Championships across various sports. Armenian athletes claimed world titles in Greco-Roman wrestling, weightlifting, MMA, armwrestling, Muay Thai, and sambo, confirming the high level of both senior sports and youth development programs.
Notably, Armenia finished the year with three senior world champions. They are Malkhas Amoyan in Greco-Roman wrestling, Varazdat Lalayan in weightlifting, and Spartak Mikayelyan in MMA. Mikaelyan’s victory at the MMA World Championship became the first in Armenia’s history.
At the same time, junior and youth athletes also achieved significant success, winning gold medals at World Championships in their respective age categories.

Grigor Ghazaryan — Weightlifting World Champion (U17).
Davit Sevlikyan — MMA World Champion (U15).
Monika Asryan — MMA World Champion (U13).
Gaspar Terteryan — Greco-Roman wrestling World Champion (U20).
Malkhas Amoyan — Greco-Roman wrestling World Champion (Senior).
Spartak Mikayelyan — MMA World Champion (Senior).
Sargis Movsisyan (U15), Ara Hovagimyan (U18), Gegham Khachatryan (U18), Mariam Sargsyan (U23) — Armwrestling World Champions.
Marietta Khachatryan — Muay Thai World Champion (U15).
Robert Simonyan — Sambo World Champion (U20).
Varazdat Lalayan — Weightlifting World Champion (Senior).
