The 34-year-old Armenian MMA fighter Armen Petrosyan has left the UFC roster after his contract with the league ended. His last fight took place at UFC 313 against Brazilian fighter Brunno Ferreira, where he suffered a stoppage loss.
Petrosyan joined the UFC in 2021 after winning a fight at the Contender Series, where he knocked out Bulgarian Kaloyan Kolev. His debut in the major league was successful, as he defeated a strong opponent, Gregory Rodrigues, in his first bout. However, his UFC career was inconsistent. He lost to Caio Borralho but then secured two victories against AJ Dobson and Christian Duncan. However, a streak of three consecutive stoppage losses—against Shara Bullet, Rodolfo Vieira, and Brunno Ferreira—put his future in the organization in doubt.
In total, Armen Petrosyan fought seven times in the UFC, earning three wins and suffering four losses.
Before joining the UFC, Petrosyan achieved significant success in other promotions. He was a world champion in Muay Thai and also won the championship title in AMC Fight Nights. Despite leaving the UFC, he remains a prominent figure in Armenian MMA, and his future career will continue to attract interest from fans.
