Arman Tsarukyan to Defend Championship Belt in Hype Armenia Main Event

On August 1, 2026, Yerevan will host the Hype Armenia tournament, headlined by a championship grappling match between Arman Tsarukyan and popular Indian blogger and athlete Ankit Baiyanpuria.

The bout will be contested under Submission Only rules, meaning victory can be secured only by a joint lock or choke. The championship belt at stake is the title Tsarukyan won against Muhammad Mokaev at a tournament in Brazil.

Lev Sarkisyan will compete in the evening’s second grappling match. The Armenian representative will face Indian athlete Krishan. The remaining contests will be held under bare-knuckle fighting and Dirty Boxing rules.

One of the tournament’s key attractions will be the title fight between David Khachatryan and Ibrahim Nikarho. The two athletes will compete for the Hype bare-knuckle championship belt.

The preliminary card will feature several more notable matchups. Armenian representatives Rafael Abrahamyan, Manukyan, Hovhannisyan, Ataev, Narek and Galstyan will take part, alongside athletes from Russia, Italy, Germany, Tajikistan and other countries.

The upcoming event will not be Hype Fighting’s first show in Armenia. The promotion has previously staged bare-knuckle fighting and mixed martial arts tournaments in Yerevan.

Hype Armenia will take place on August 1 at Tashir Arena. The event begins at 5:00 p.m.
