Arman Tsarukyan’s future in the UFC remains uncertain. After his fight with Islam Makhachev was canceled due to injury, it seemed that the UFC had turned its attention away from one of the most promising lightweights. Although Arman was ready to return to the octagon as early as March, it's already mid-April, and there is still no concrete information about his next fight.
Among the possible options is a fight against Paddy Pimblett, who recently secured a win over Michael Chandler. Considering Pimblett's status, his next logical step would be a matchup with a top-5 contender, and Tsarukyan fits that scenario perfectly. However, the Englishman fought just on April 12, and his return to the cage isn’t expected until late summer. Such a long wait is not ideal for Arman.
Another possible opponent is Ilia Topuria, who recently announced a move to the lightweight division. But again, nothing concrete yet—no negotiations, no official news.
Amid UFC’s silence and the uncertainty surrounding his future, Arman remains calm and continues his training. Here’s what he posted on social media:
“Many are asking when the fight will be. I’m calm – training, staying focused, and waiting for my moment. Sport isn’t always about fairness, but I believe that if you work hard, never give up, and stay true to yourself, everything will come in time. The main thing is to be ready when the time comes.”
Arman Tsarukyan is currently in the U.S., continuing his training.
