It’s now official: Arman Tsarukyan (22-3, UFC #2, P4P #14) will face New Zealander Dan Hooker (24-12, UFC #6) in his next fight. Their bout will headline UFC Qatar, scheduled for November 22 in Doha. The news was confirmed by UFC President Dana White.
For Tsarukyan, this is a chance to solidify his position in the lightweight rankings and move closer to a title shot. The Armenian fighter is on a winning streak and is considered one of the top contenders for the belt. Hooker, on the other hand, is one of the most experienced and exciting fighters in the division and will try to put an end to his rival’s momentum.
Arman Tsarukyan has not competed in the octagon for a year and a half. A victory over Hooker would likely secure him a title fight.
The event in Doha will mark the first major UFC tournament in Qatar and is expected to attract a large international audience.
