In the 60 kg weight category, Artur Bazeyan lost to American boxer Selim Ellis-Bey by unanimous decision. The 18-year-old Ellis-Bey is the reigning U.S. national champion among seniors and was previously named the country’s best young boxer. At the Strandja Cup 2026, Bazeyan claimed one victory before finishing his campaign in the round of 16.
In the super heavyweight division (+90 kg), David Chaloyan lost his opening bout of the tournament to Germany’s Nikita Putilov by split decision (1:3).
Elida Kocharyan (65 kg) was also eliminated after losing 1:4 to 2025 World Championship medalist Grainne Walsh of Ireland.
