Orlando City star Antoine Griezmann has shown his support for Armenian-American teammate Harvey Sarajian in an unusual way. The 2018 World Cup winner showed up to a game wearing a T-shirt featuring a photo of the young player dressed in American football gear.
The story began after Orlando City's 3-2 home victory over Columbus Crew in an MLS regular-season match on October 10. Just 46 seconds into the game, 21-year-old Sarajian opened the scoring from a Griezmann assist. It was Harvey's second goal in MLS.
After the match, the French star discovered an interesting detail about his teammate's past through Orlando City's social media posts: before starting his professional soccer career, Sarajian had also played American football.
Griezmann was so surprised by the discovery that he shared a photo of Sarajian in American football gear on his own social media accounts. But the Frenchman didn't stop there.
Later, Griezmann took things a step further by showing up to a game wearing a T-shirt printed with an image of Sarajian in an American football uniform. His unusual outfit caught the attention of Orlando City supporters, who appreciated the French star's sense of humor.
Interestingly, Sarajian does have experience playing American football. While attending Georgia Southern University, he also served as a kicker for the university's American football team, specializing in kicking duties.
In January 2026, Sarajian signed a professional contract with Orlando City, which had selected him with the fifth overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft. During his rookie season, the young midfielder has gradually earned more playing time and has already scored two league goals.
Judging by this story, Griezmann is not only developing a successful partnership with Sarajian on the pitch but also helping create a friendly atmosphere within the team.
