England played out a draw with Ghana in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage. The Group L match in Boston ended 0-0.
England had more of the initiative and tried to break down their opponent’s defense, but Ghana produced a very disciplined defensive performance. One of the main heroes of the match was Ghana goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who plays in the Ghanaian league. His confident display helped the Black Stars keep a clean sheet and earn an important point.
Both teams had chances at either end, but neither England nor Ghana managed to find a breakthrough. The final whistle confirmed a draw, leaving both teams on 4 points in Group L.
In the final round of the group stage, Ghana will face Croatia, while England will take on Panama. These matches will decide the final standings in the group and the teams that advance to the playoffs.
