Anahit Aroyan Successfully Defends WBA Continental Title in Dubai

Armenian boxer Anahit Aroyan (16-1) confidently defended her WBA Continental championship title. On December 12 at a boxing event in Dubai, she claimed a unanimous decision victory over Filipino fighter Maria Teresa Pinili (7-3).

After the eight-round bout, the judges unanimously scored the fight in Aroyan’s favor — 80-72. The Armenian champion dominated throughout the entire match and won all rounds.

Aroyan captured the WBA Continental belt in September 2025 after defeating an opponent from Tanzania, and has now successfully completed her first title defense.
