Albert Safaryan Returns as Head Coach of Ararat

Yerevan football club Ararat has officially announced its new head coach for the 2025/26 season. The team will once again be led by experienced specialist Albert Safaryan.

The 63-year-old coach is well known to Ararat fans, having previously managed the club during 2009–2013 and 2016–2019. Safaryan brings a wealth of experience in Armenian football and returns with ambitions for a successful new season.

Gevorg Poghosyan and Rafael Safaryan will remain on the coaching staff, and they will be joined by a new goalkeeping coach — 37-year-old Erik Khachatryan, who previously worked at Lernayin Artsakh.

Before this, the team was managed by Tigran Yesayan.
