Yerevan’s Alashkert have announced the signing of 24-year-old Nigerian striker Philip Ejike. The forward has become the club’s latest new arrival during the summer transfer window.
Ejike’s previous club was Bulgarian side Montana. Last season, the Nigerian forward made 29 appearances in the Bulgarian league and scored 5 goals. However, Montana finished the season at the bottom of the table.
Earlier in his career, Ejike also played in Belgium’s second division for KAS Eupen, where he made 10 appearances.
Philip Ejike’s transfer value is estimated at €300,000.
For Alashkert, this is already the third notable addition of the current transfer window. The Yerevan club had previously signed defenders Hakob Hakobyan and Brazilian centre-back Cesar.
Alashkert finished fourth in the Armenian championship last season and earned the right to play in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
