In the 5th round of the Armenian Premier League, “Alashkert” secured a convincing 2:0 win against the reigning champion “Noa.”
Goals were scored by Olawale Farayola and Momo Touré, both assisted by Kadjalli Drammeh.
Sandro Perkovic’s team faced serious squad issues: without central midfielders Gutsavo Sangaré and Yan Eteki, “Noa” struggled significantly in organizing attacks.
Several Armenia national team players also featured in the match, their last appearance before joining the national squad. For “Noa,” Sergey Muradyan, Gor Manvelyan, and Hovhannes Harutyunyan played the full match, while Artak Dashyan started and played the first half. Goalkeeper Ognen Čančarević remained on the bench.
“Alashkert” goalkeeper Arsen Beglaryan once again showed reliability, keeping a clean sheet for the third consecutive match. Karen Nalbandyan’s activity was also notable, as he was substituted in stoppage time, along with the bright performance of Armenia U21 player Edgar Piloian.
With this win, “Alashkert” moved up to 2nd place with 9 points, ahead of “Urartu” on points dropped, despite the latter having played one more game. After three matches, “Noa” has 6 points and sits in 5th place.
