The head coach of the Armenian artistic gymnastics team, Hakob Serobyan, has announced the squad for the 2025 European Championships, which will take place from May 26 to 31 in Leipzig, Germany. Armenia will compete with the maximum allowed number of six gymnasts:
-
Artur Davtyan
-
Vaagn Davtyan
-
Artur Avetisyan
-
Hamlet Manukyan
-
Mamikon Khachatryan
-
Gagik Khachikyan
At a press conference, Serobyan also spoke about the team's upcoming plans and financial challenges:
“After the European Championships, we will participate in two stages of the 2025 World Challenge Cup, where our young gymnasts Erik Baghdasaryan and Robert Gyulumyan will compete. They’re not part of the main squad, but they also need competition experience. After these two tournaments, our budget will run out, and we simply won’t be able to attend the 2025 World Championships. I hope our funding will be increased — we really need those two stages, so we’ll participate and wait for the budget to be raised.”
It is worth noting that Hamlet Manukyan and Artur Davtyan recently became the overall winners of the 2025 World Cup, further strengthening Armenia’s presence on the international stage.
