Armenia’s youth trampoline team delivered a successful performance at the international competition held in Saint Petersburg from May 25 to 29.
According to Davit Fahradyan, head coach of Armenia’s trampoline team and an international judge, the Armenian team won a medal thanks to the performance of 11-year-old Sargis Fahradyan.
The young Armenian athlete took second place in the double mini-trampoline event. His achievement is especially notable because Sargis was the youngest participant compared to his rivals, yet still managed to show a strong result and reach the podium.
Davit Fahradyan noted that the competition in Saint Petersburg was very serious in terms of format and level, and was comparable to the World Age Group Championships in trampoline gymnastics.
Sargis Fahradyan’s silver medal became an important achievement for Armenia’s youth team and another confirmation of the potential of Armenian athletes in this sport.
