0-11: Armenia Women’s U19 Team Suffers Heavy Defeat in Euro 2027 Qualifying Opener

Armenia’s women’s U19 national team suffered a heavy defeat to Ireland in their opening match of the 2027 UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign. The match, played in Bulgaria, ended 11-0 in Ireland’s favour.
Ireland effectively decided the outcome in the first half, scoring nine unanswered goals against Armenia. After the break, the Irish side added two more goals to complete a commanding victory.
Armenia struggled to create any real danger in the opposition half. Over the entire match, the team managed only two shots towards the Irish goal.
The match was refereed by Azerbaijani official Farida Lutfaliyeva.
Armen Baregamyan’s team will play their next qualifying match on October 10 against tournament hosts Bulgaria U19.
In the other match in the group, Bulgaria suffered a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Georgia.
As a result, Ireland and Georgia began their campaigns with victories, while Armenia and Bulgaria will look to earn their first points when they meet in the next round.
