Armenia Women’s U19 Team Started the Qualifiers with a Loss to Serbia

The Armenia U19 women’s national team began its European Championship qualifying campaign. In the opening match of Group B1, Mariam Stepanyan’s team lost to the hosts of the mini-tournament, Serbia. The game, held at the Serbian Football Association Training Center, ended with a 3–0 victory for the Serbian team.
After a goalless first half, the Serbian players took control in the second half. Maja Senanović opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. Closer to the end, Lana Todorović doubled the lead, and in added time, Paulina Stanić secured the final score — 3:0.
In the parallel match of the group, Montenegro defeated Cyprus 3–1.
Armenia U19’s next match will take place on November 29, with Montenegro as the opponent. All Group B1 matches are played at Serbian stadiums.
