On April 8 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), the 2026 Asian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships came to an end. On the third day of the tournament, the winners and medalists were determined in the remaining five weight categories: 60 kg, 67 kg, 72 kg, 82 kg, and 97 kg.

At the end of the competition, Kyrgyzstan’s athletes won the highest number of gold medals — the host nation secured 4 golds. However, Iran won the overall team ranking, claiming 2 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze medals — Iranian wrestlers reached the podium in all 10 weight categories.

Uzbekistan also won 2 gold medals, while Qatar and Kazakhstan each secured one gold.

It is worth noting that Olympic champion Mohammad Hadi Saravi (97 kg) from Iran once again confirmed his dominance.

На мой взгляд сборная Казахстана удивительно СИЛЬНО выступила с тем учетом, что весь тренерский состав сборной совсем недавно поменялся.
