Van defeated Ararat in Round 20 of the Armenian Championship

In the 20th round of the Armenian Premier League, Van secured a 2–1 home victory over Ararat.

The key moment of the match was Narek Manukyan’s goal in the 65th minute, which earned the hosts all three points. For the 22-year-old midfielder, it was only his second goal in the Armenian championship. Notably, the Kaluga academy graduate has been playing for Armenian clubs since 2023 and has previously been called up to the country’s youth and U21 national teams.

Petros Avetisyan also scored for Van. Meanwhile, Kalifala Doumbia found the net for Ararat, but it was not enough to secure any points.

After 20 rounds, Van sits in 6th place in the standings, while Ararat remains at the bottom.
