Yerevan to host the second qualifying round of the UEFA U-17 Championship, match schedule

From April 22 to 28, Yerevan will host matches of the second qualifying round of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship. Group B5 games in League B will take place at the Republican Stadium and the Avan Academy.

Group B5 participants:

  • Armenia
  • Hungary
  • Luxembourg
  • Liechtenstein

Match Schedule

April 22

  • Hungary U-17 — Liechtenstein U-17 (13:00)
  • Armenia U-17 — Luxembourg U-17 (16:00)

April 25

  • Luxembourg U-17 — Liechtenstein U-17 (13:00)
  • Hungary U-17 — Armenia U-17 (16:00)

April 28

  • Luxembourg U-17 — Hungary U-17 (16:00)
  • Liechtenstein U-17 — Armenia U-17 (16:00)

In the first qualifying round of the 2025/26 season, Armenia U-17 competed in Group 11 and suffered three defeats:

  • vs Northern Ireland — 1:2
  • vs Finland — 0:2
  • vs Cyprus — 0:1

What’s next

The first round of qualification for the next UEFA U-17 Championship campaign will begin in autumn. Armenia will be in a group with:

  • France
  • Italy
  • Luxembourg

The matches of the second round in Yerevan will be an important opportunity for Armenia’s youth team to prove themselves in front of home fans and improve their results in European competition. The winner of Group B5 will secure promotion to League A in the next UEFA U-19 Championship cycle.
