Armenia Futsal National Team to Be Awarded for Historic EURO Performance

The Government of Armenia has decided to reward the national futsal team for its successful performance at the European Championship. During today’s session, it approved the allocation of 141 million drams to reward players, coaching staff, medical personnel, and administrative members of the team.

This amounts to approximately $377,000.

In January this year, the Armenia futsal national team participated in the final stage of the European Championship for the first time in its history and immediately achieved a significant result. The team finished among the top eight sides in Europe, demonstrating confident and effective play throughout the tournament.

In the group stage, Armenia finished in first place. Ruben Nazaretyan’s side defeated the 2024 World Championship bronze medalists Ukraine (2:1), secured a win over the Czech Republic (5:4), and drew with Lithuania (3:3).

In the quarterfinals, Armenia faced Croatia, concluding its historic run in the playoff stage.

This achievement marks an important milestone for the development of futsal in the country and confirms the growing level of the Armenian national team on the international stage.
