Armenia U15 concludes UEFA Development Cup campaign with a draw against Latvia

In the final round of the UEFA U15 Development Cup held in Yerevan, Armenia faced Latvia. The regular time ended in a 2-2 draw, but Latvia came out on top in the post-match penalty shootout, winning 5-4.

Latvia’s Andris Aizsilnieks opened the scoring in the 9th minute, but Narek Khachatryan from Sardarapat equalized in the 24th minute. In the second half, the teams exchanged goals once again: Zahars Malygins put Latvia ahead in the 49th minute, but in the 81st minute, Erik Vuvunikyan from the Avan Academy converted a penalty to level the score.

Thus, the match ended 2-2 and the winner was decided by a penalty shootout, where the Latvians proved luckier — 5:4.
