The Armenian men’s artistic gymnastics team will not participate in the third stage of the World Cup, which will begin on March 12 in Antalya, Turkey.

The reason for skipping the tournament is the war in Iran, which prevents the national team from returning on time from a training camp currently taking place in Qatar. As a result, Armenian gymnasts are forced to miss another stage of the prestigious series.

Earlier, the Armenian team also did not participate in the second stage of the World Cup held in Baku.

In 2026, Armenian gymnasts competed only in the first stage of the World Cup in Cottbus, Germany. There the team showed solid results: Artur Avetisyan won a gold medal in the rings event, Mamikon Khachatryan became a silver medalist in the pommel horse. In addition, Hamlet Manukyan and Artur Davtyan finished 7th and 5th respectively.

These results allowed the team to hope for high positions in the overall World Cup standings even considering the missed stage in Baku. However, after missing two stages, the fight for the final rankings will become significantly more difficult.

It should be noted that the fourth stage of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup will take place in Cairo from April 3 to April 6.
