Official: Giovanni Reyna has become Ranoss’s teammate

Borussia Mönchengladbach has announced the signing of Giovanni Reyna. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder joined from Borussia Dortmund for €3 million, with an additional €4 million potentially available in bonuses. His contract runs until the summer of 2028.

The arrival of the American strengthens competition in the team’s attack. Until now, Grant-Leon Ranos, striker of the Armenian national team, was considered the main backup option for the left winger position. Now, the coaching staff will also be able to use Reyna on that flank.

The new Bundesliga season kicked off on August 23. Mönchengladbach will play their first match tomorrow, August 24, against Hamburg.

Ranos remains in the squad and intends to fight for a spot in the starting XI despite the increased competition.
