FC Noah put a bright finishing touch on its European journey — a season that has already entered the history of Armenian football.
For the first time in its history, the team reached the European competition playoffs and secured its first-ever victory at this stage. The author of Noah’s first playoff goal was Armenian footballer Hovhannes Hambardzumyan — another important milestone for the club and for Armenian football as a whole. Thanks to the successful performances of Armenian clubs, the country climbed to 33rd place in the UEFA coefficient rankings, opening new prospects on the international stage.
And most importantly — it was truly AWESOME!
In the second leg of the UEFA Conference League Round of 32, Noah lost 0–4 away to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. The goals for the hosts were scored by Sven Mijnans, who netted a brace, Ro-Zangelo Daal, and Troy Parrott. On aggregate (4–1), AZ advanced to the Round of 16.
It is worth recalling that in the first match in Armenia, Noah secured a historic 1–0 victory, giving fans an unforgettable evening. However, in the away match against one of the strongest clubs in the Netherlands, it was extremely difficult for the Armenian side to maintain the advantage.
Special recognition goes to Noah’s supporters. More than 800 Armenian fans from across Europe arrived in Alkmaar. They supported the team throughout the entire match just as loudly as the home crowd — and at times even outshouted them. Their energy and dedication became a true highlight of the European night and once again proved that Armenian football has a big and united heart.

Despite the elimination, this European campaign became a true breakthrough for Noah and an important step forward for Armenian football as a whole.
Now the team will focus on domestic competition. On March 2, Noah will face Gandzasar in the resumed Armenian Premier League following the winter break. The club currently sits in 5th place in the standings, 11 points behind leaders Ararat-Armenia. An intense battle for European qualification next season lies ahead.
The story continues.
