Armenia U21 suffer second defeat in EURO 2027 qualifiers

Armenia’s U21 national team lost 0-4 to Poland in the second round of the UEFA EURO 2027 qualification.
Armen Gyulbudaghyants’ side failed to challenge their opponents, as Poland were already ahead by halftime. In the second half, the hosts extended their lead and secured a comfortable victory.
Armenia U21 lineup vs Poland:
Gor Matinyan — Artyom Bandikyan, Mark Avetisyan (65′ Andranik Hakobyan), Petik Manukyan, Suren Tsarukyan — Karlen Hovhannisyan, Hamlet Sargsyan (65′ Artur Askaryan) — Vyacheslav Afyan, Davit Hakobyan, Misak Hakobyan (46′ Narek Hovhannisyan) — Edik Vardanyan (46′ Araik Eloyan).
This was the Armenian team’s second consecutive defeat in the qualifiers. In the opening match, Armenia U21 lost 0-4 to Sweden.
The next match will take place on October 10 away against North Macedonia.
