In the second leg of the Russian Cup RPL semifinal, “Krasnodar” defeated CSKA 4:0, overturning the first-leg loss (1:3) and securing a spot in the final.
The captain of the Armenian national team and “Krasnodar,” Eduard Spertsyan, played 88 minutes on the field, providing an assist for João Bachi, who scored a double. Goals were also scored by Douglas Augusto and John Cordoba. Spertsyan also contributed to two other goals with pre-assist passes, proving a key factor in the team’s victory. Usually, the Armenian player stays on the bench in cup matches to give other players game time, but today he started, helping the team secure the win.
The match was also marked by expulsions: CSKA finished the game with nine players after Brazilian players Mateus Reis (45+4 min) and Moisés (63 min) were sent off.
In the final, “Krasnodar” will face the winner of the “Dynamo” – “Spartak” tie, the first match of which ended 5:2 in favor of Dynamo.
