Red Star’s comeback with ten men: a dramatic victory over Radnički 1923

In the 10th round of the Serbian championship, Red Star Belgrade pulled off a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Radnički 1923, despite being reduced to ten men and facing a tense atmosphere in the stands.

The hosts went down to ten players in the 44th minute after Bruno Duarte was sent off, but managed to turn the game around in the final stages. The decisive push came after the 90th minute, when the "red-and-whites" scored twice to snatch all three points.

In the first half, Radnički 1923 took the lead through Ester Sokler, while Stefan Leković and Mirko Ivanić scored for Red Star.

The match wasn’t without controversy: in the 58th minute, Nair Tiknizyan won a penalty with a cross, but Milson failed to convert from the spot. Immediately after, home supporters began throwing objects toward 42-year-old visiting goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković, a former Red Star and Serbian national team player.

The referee stopped the game in the 60th minute and led the Radnički players to the dressing room. Meanwhile, fans staged a massive flare show in the stands. After a ten-minute break, the situation calmed down and the match resumed.
