Javier Miñano Leaves Armenia National Team and Takes Position in Spain

Spanish specialist Javier Miñano has finished his work with the Armenia national football team after seven years. The fitness coach said goodbye to the Football Federation of Armenia, the players, and the fans, thanking everyone for the years of cooperation and noting that this period became a special chapter in his life.
Miñano had been working with the Armenian national team since 2017 and during these years was part of the coaching staffs of several head coaches. At different times he collaborated with Armen Gyulbudaghyants, Joaquín Caparrós, Oleksandr Petrakov, John van ’t Schip, and Yeghishe Melikyan, being responsible for the physical conditioning of the players.
In his farewell message, the specialist noted that the years spent in Armenia were filled with valuable experience and strong emotions.
“After seven unforgettable years working at the Football Federation of Armenia as the fitness coach of the national team, the time has come to close this unique chapter of my life. I sincerely thank the Armenian people, the players, the coaching staff, and all the federation employees who made this journey possible. Your trust, professionalism, and kindness helped Armenia become my second home,” Miñano said.
According to the specialist, during this time he gained not only professional experience but also many human connections that he will keep for many years.
After finishing his work in Armenia, Miñano will continue his career in his homeland. He has received an invitation from the Royal Spanish Football Federation, where he will take the position of Head of Youth Talent Development. In addition, the Spanish specialist will be responsible for coordinating UEFA and FIFA programs within the federation’s structure.
Thus, after a seven-year period in Armenian football, Miñano begins a new stage of his career related to the development of youth football in Spain.
