Gleb Mosesov wins two medals at international events in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Armenian alpine skier Gleb Mosesov delivered a strong performance at a series of international tournaments held in Bosnia and Herzegovina — in Jahorina and on the slopes of Kupres (Čajuša).

Over several days of competition, Mosesov showed consistent results in slalom and giant slalom, reaching the podium twice.

Gleb Mosesov’s results:

• January 23 — 5th place, Giant Slalom (50 participants)

• January 24 — 5th place, Giant Slalom (40 participants)

• January 25 — 2nd place, Slalom (40 participants)

• January 25 — 3rd place, Slalom (40 participants)

• January 27 — 7th place, Giant Slalom (66 participants)

Thus, the Armenian athlete won two medals at international events, confirming his high level ahead of the key competitions of the season.

It is worth recalling that Gleb Mosesov has already written his name into the history of Armenian alpine skiing, becoming the first representative of Armenia to reach the World Championship final. In 2025, he achieved this in two disciplines — slalom and giant slalom. These results earned him an Olympic quota place and secured Armenia’s participation in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The Games are expected to be the first of Mosesov’s career.

At the same time, Mosesov’s name was absent from the participant list published by the Olympic Committee — another Armenian alpine skier, Harutyun Harutyunyan, was listed instead. This information requires additional confirmation.

Other Armenian athletes set to compete at the Olympics include cross-country skiers Mikael Mikaelyan and Katya Galstyan, as well as the figure skating pair Karina Akopova / Nikita Rakhmanin.

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will take place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from February 6 to 22.
