Franjo von Allmen secured a historic hat-trick at the Milan–Cortina 2026 Olympics

Swiss alpine skier Franjo von Allmen etched his name into Winter Olympic history. Competing in the super-G at the Milan–Cortina 2026 Games, he captured his third gold medal of the tournament with a time of 1:25.32.
This achievement made von Allmen the first man since Jean-Claude Killy (Grenoble 1968) to win three alpine skiing gold medals at a single Olympic Games. Moreover, he became the first Swiss skier to win Olympic super-G gold and the first Swiss athlete to claim three gold medals at one Winter Olympics.

American skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle repeated his Beijing 2022 success by once again earning Olympic silver in the discipline. He finished just 0.13 seconds behind the winner, confirming his reputation as one of the world’s most consistent speed specialists.
World Cup overall leader Marco Odermatt secured a podium finish, rounding out the top three. For Switzerland, it was another clear sign of dominance in speed events.
