A working meeting was held at the Football Federation of Armenia office with the participation of Secretary General Edgar Petrosyan and Head of Competitions Davit Harutyunyan. Representatives of Fastex Premier League clubs, as well as four First League clubs, took part in the discussion.
The key topic of the meeting was a possible amendment to the regulations concerning the number of players trained in Armenia who can simultaneously be on the field and included in the match squad. The proposed changes could come into force within the next two seasons of the Armenian Premier League.
Club representatives had the opportunity to express preliminary opinions and ask questions regarding the proposed amendments. The clubs’ final positions will be formed and submitted to the Football Federation of Armenia within two days.
After receiving the proposals, the FFA Executive Committee will hold further discussions, after which a final decision on amendments to the current regulations may be made.
It should be noted that the current limit requires at least three Armenian players to be on the field.
