2025 Judo World Championships U17: Results of Day Two

On August 28, in Sofia (Bulgaria), the second day of the 2025 Judo World Championships for cadets under 17 took place. On this day, finals were held in four weight categories: 60 and 66 kg for boys, and 48 and 52 kg for girls.

Representing the Armenian national team, Khachatur Jangiryan (60 kg) competed but lost to a Serbian athlete in his opening bout.

World champions of the day came from Kazakhstan, Russia, Japan, and Brazil.

66 kg (boys)

  1. Rakhim Khamkhoev (Russia)

  2. Mukhammedali Zhilkaydar (Kazakhstan)

  3. Rolan Kayrgali (Kazakhstan) & Muslim Kotiev (Russia)

48 kg (girls)

  1. Clarice Ribeiro (Brazil)

  2. Meylis Dapa (Belgium)

  3. Barbara Twardowska (Poland) & Nuran Mussati (France)

52 kg (girls)

  1. Rio Shirakane (Japan)

  2. Sofia Cordova (Sweden)

  3. Monica Martinez (Spain) & Nicole Marques (Brazil)

On August 29, medals will be contested in the 73 and 81 kg boys’ categories, as well as the 57 and 63 kg girls’ divisions.
