2026 U23 European Wrestling Championships: Draw Results and First Opponents of the Armenian Team

Today, March 8, the draw for freestyle wrestling at the 2026 U23 European Wrestling Championships took place in Zrenjanin.

On March 9, the tournament will begin in the 57, 65, 70, 79, and 97 kg weight categories. The first wrestlers from the Armenian national team to step onto the mat will be:

57 kg — Arman Harutyunyan

65 kg — Arman Musikyan

79 kg — Hayk Papikyan
First opponent in the Round of 16 — Tristan Alexandrov (Estonia)

97 kg — Gurgen Simonyan

61 kg — Levik Mikaelyan (defending champion)

74 kg — Grigor Cholakyan
First opponent in the Round of 16 — Raul Caso (Italy)

86 kg — Razmik Yepremyan
First opponent in the Round of 16 — Vladimir Pliev (Israel)

92 kg — Knyaz Iboyan (defending vice-champion)
First opponent in the Round of 16 — Yegor Khorokh (Ukraine)

125 kg — Khachatur Khachatryan (defending bronze medalist)
