On October 19, the European Judo Cup U18 concluded in Riga, where Estonian representatives — brother and sister Artak and Anna Azarumyan — achieved remarkable results.
Artak Azarumyan , competing in the under-60 kg category, claimed four victories and finished third, earning a bronze medal at the prestigious tournament. His sister, Anna Azarumyan , also stepped onto the podium, winning bronze after a confident victory.
Another member of the family, Aren Azarumyan , also took part in the competition, fighting in the under-55 kg category. He secured one win but was defeated in the round of 16.
It’s worth noting that the head coach of Estonia’s national judo team is Armenian Vladimir Stepanjan, under whose leadership Estonian judo continues to show steady progress on the international stage.
