Arsen Baghryan Named Best Wushu Athlete of 2025 by the International Wushu Federation

Armenian athlete Arsen Baghryan has received prestigious international recognition. The International Wushu Federation (IWUF) named him the Best Wushu Athlete of 2025, highlighting both his sporting achievements and his personal qualities.
In its statement, IWUF emphasized that Arsen Baghryan is considered one of Armenia’s strongest athletes, distinguished by outstanding physical abilities, discipline, and exemplary character. He began practicing wushu at an early age and throughout his career has repeatedly become a national champion of Armenia, as well as a winner of national, European, and international tournaments.
Baghryan’s high reputation has long extended beyond his home country: he is respected by both opponents and coaches on the international stage. One of his most recent major achievements was winning the bronze medal in the under 60 kg weight category at the 17th Wushu World Championships.
In addition, in 2025 Arsen Baghryan claimed the title of European champion, further confirming his consistency and high level of performance. The recognition from IWUF became a logical culmination of a brilliant season and strengthened the Armenian athlete’s status as one of the leaders of world wushu.
